Patti has been an educator in the Hudson School District, Hudson, Ohio for 27 years. She began her career as a middle school physical education teacher and high school gymnastics coach in 1979. During 1986-88, she became a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of the Marshall Islands as a Health Educator. She returned to Hudson after this rewarding experience, earned her Master’s in School Counseling from Kent State University and became a guidance counselor at the high school in 1995. Beyond Patti’s counseling responsibilities, she is Hudson High School’s National Honor Society Advisor and Student Volunteer Advisor. Outside of school, Patti is director and coach of the Fire Up Junior Olympic Volleyball Club. Her husband, Jim, teaches at the University of Akron and her two children, Page and Mike, are in high school. Patti contributed to the High School College & Career Room.
