Liz Deskins
Library Media Specialist
J.W. Reason Elementary School
Ms. Deskins has been a library media specialist for over 15 years. She has taught in several districts and is currently the elementary Library Media Specialist for J.W. Reason Elementary School in the Hilliard City School District. She was on the writing team for the Hilliard school libraries when they won the 2006 AASL National School Library Media Program of the Year Award. She received her Bachelor’s in Library Science from Ohio Dominican University and also a Masters of Education with a focus on Children’s Literature from The Ohio State University.  She is an Adjunct Professor for Ohio Dominican University in the library science courses and frequently supervises pre-service library science students. When not teaching students of all ages, Ms. Deskins writes book reviews and maintains an active role in the Ohio Educational Library Media Association, as well as AASL. Ms. Deskins contributed to the Elementary School Economics Room.
