In her current position as the Assistant Director for the Lakeshore Northeast Ohio Computer Association (LNOCA), an Information Technology Center, Joanna provides leadership, instruction, and technical assistance to over 50 educational entities, representing over 250 schools, in Northeast Ohio. With licensure in K-12 library/media, 9-12 history, and 7-12 social studies, prior to working at LNOCA, she worked in education, law, business, and fundraising. Joanna graduated with a Master of Library Science from Kent State University in August 1997.  While pursuing her degree, she served as the President of the American Library Association Student Chapter, the Vice President of the Associated Library Science Students of Ohio, and the Graduate Student Representative. In April 1998, Joanna was inducted into Beta Phi Mu, received the August Alpers Award, and participated in the Me? A Librarian?! recruitment video. Joanna also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Education. Joanna is a Past-President of the Ohio Educational Library Media Association, served as the Ohio Delegate to the American Association of School Librarians Region 3 Affiliate Assembly, served on the AASL Legislative Committee, and is a member of the American Library Association and the Ohio Library Council. She is an alumna of the 2000 Library Leadership Institute at Snowbird and the 1998 Ohio Library Leadership Institute. Joanna serves as the SchoolRooms Project Manager for INFOhio and identified content for the College & Careers Room.
