Debra Kay Logan has been an educator for 18 years. After working as a children's/young adult librarian in Arizona public libraries, Deb began her career as a librarian/media specialist teaching information literacy in the Marion City Schools District, Marion, Ohio in 1989 teaching elementary and middle school students. Deb has spent the past five years of her career as the Librarian/Media Specialist for the Mount Gilead Exempted Village School District in Mount Gilead, Ohio. Deb received her Bachelor of Science in Education with certification in library educational media in 1982 from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Library Science was awarded in 1985 from the University of Arizona. Deb has continued her education with interests in curriculum, instruction, technology, information literacy, and children's literature. In 2004, she received the Ohio Department of Education and OELMA Innovative School Library Practices Award.  Deb is the author of numerous articles in professional journals and of four professional books such as Information Skills Toolkit and K-12 Web Pages. She is a member of the American Library Association, the American Association of School Librarians, and the Ohio Library Educational Media Association. Deb contributed to the High School Using the Library Room.
