Sheila has been an educator for 32 years. She began her career as an elementary teacher in the South Central Local School District, Greenwich, Ohio in 1974 teaching 4th grade students. Sheila has spent the past ten years of her career as the Library Coordinator for the Bay Village City School District in Bay Village, Ohio. Her responsibilities include working with 875 high school students, preparing them to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens, coordinating the K-12 library program, and providing educational technology training and support to staff. Sheila received her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Cleveland State University and Masters in Educational Media from Kent State University, with certification in school library/media. Sheila has continued her education with an interest in computers and online instruction. Sheila received both the OELMA Award of Merit and the Betty Cope Award in 2004. She is a member of the Ohio Educational Library Media Association as well as a frequent presenter for INFOhio and eTech Ohio. As one of the original SchoolRooms pilot participants, Sheila contributed to the High School Parent Room. Sheila returned to serve as a SchoolRooms facilitator and identified content for the Educator’s Guide.
