As the Head Media specialist at North Olmsted High School for 31 years, Ms. Deal has borne witness to substantial changes in her field. She has kept abreast of these changes through continued education and professional memberships. Ms. Deal has a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in English and a minor in Library Science. Her post-graduate work includes a Master's in Library Science and a Master of Arts in Education. She is certified in English and Educational Media for grades K-12. As a media specialist, she has experience assisting students in finding and utilizing resources. She has also trained students and teachers in various computer software applications. Ms. Deal has published several articles in education and library journals. As one of the original SchoolRooms pilot participants, Paula contributed to the High School US History Room. Paula returned to serve as a SchoolRooms facilitator and identified content for the Language Arts Rooms.
