Michele has served as the district library/media coordinator for the Indian Creek Local School District for the past 6 years. Prior to being named coordinator, she served 10 years as librarian at Indian Creek Junior High School. She received her post graduate library/media training at Kent State University and the University of Pittsburgh. In her job as coordinator, Michele’s current duties include the administration and development of the district’s five libraries, library staff development, and technical support. She helped develop and currently coordinates the Indian Creek Literacy Council, which promotes literacy throughout the district with programs for students, staff, and the community.  Michele graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from The College of Steubenville in 1968 and earned a Masters in Educational Administration from The University of Dayton in 1978. She has also taught several different grade levels and subjects in her 38 year career as an educator including: Kindergarten, Third Grade, Language Arts-Grade Six, and American History-Grade Eight. Her entire teaching career has been in the Indian Creek School District. Michele is the President of the Mingo Junction Lions Club, Vice President of the Alpha Delta Kappa teachers’ sorority, and a member of St. Agnes Church and its women’s club. Michele contributed to the High School Technology Room.
