M. Leslie Pickenheim has been an educator for three years.  She began her career as a 10th and 11th grade language arts teacher in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Leslie has spent the past two years as a teacher in Olmsted Falls School District in Olmsted Falls, Ohio.  Her teaching responsibilities include teaching 10th grade college preparatory language arts and the 10th grade honors language arts class. In addition, she is the advisor for the school newspaper and the assistant yearbook advisor.  Leslie received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  She is currently completing her Masters in English at Cleveland State University. Directly after her undergraduate work, Leslie was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for intensive study and research in Madrid, Spain where she spent a year researching women in post-Civil War Spanish literature.  She is a Jennings Scholar and also a member of the National Council of Teachers of English.  Leslie contributed to the High School Writing Room.
