Kathy has been an educator for 30 years. She began her career as an English teacher in the New South Wales, Australia schools teaching students in grades 7-10. Kathy has spent the past 5 years of her career as the Director of Library & Instructional Technology in Shaker Heights, Ohio. Her responsibilities include coordination of library programs and technology direction. Kathy received her Bachelor’s in Secondary Education, English, and Library from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with certification in library/media K-12 and English 7-12. Kathy received her Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She has continued her education with an interest in instructional technology. Kathy received the WVIZ/PBS Betty Cope Award in 2005. She is a member of the American Library Association as well as the International Society for Technology Education. As one of the original SchoolRooms pilot participants, Kathy contributed to the High School Parent Room. Kathy returned to serve as a SchoolRooms facilitator and identified content for the Librarian’s Guide and Study & Research Rooms.
