Kathi Redrup has been an educator for over 27 years. She began her career as an English teacher in Philadelphia, PA. After receiving her Master’s degree in Library Science from Villanova University, she worked as a librarian in both public and school libraries. She worked for 10 years as a librarian in the Fairview Park City Schools at the elementary, middle and high school levels and for 13 years had been the head librarian at Berea High School in Berea, OH. While working in the Fairview Park system, she also worked part time as an assistant in the Children’s Dept. of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. She has a permanent certificate in K-12 library/media and has earned 48 hours above her Master’s degree, mostly in courses centering on technology and YA literature. She is a member of OELMA, the Ohio Educational Library Media Association, the American Library Association and the American Association of School Librarians and the American Federation of Teachers. She has been awarded five grants over the years which have added to the available technologies in her building. Kathi identified content for the Speech Rooms at all three levels.
