Ms. King has been an educator with Whitehall City Schools for 5 years. She began her career in 2001 as an intervention specialist at Beechwood Elementary School in the Whitehall City School District. Ms. King works with special education students in grades K-4 as both a resource room teacher and an inclusion teacher.  She assists regular education teachers with interventions for at-risk and identified students.  Ms. King received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from Capital University in 2001 and a Master’s of Science in Education in Teaching and Literacy from Walden University in 2005.  She is certified in Elementary Education 1-8, Reading K-12, and Special Education K-12. Ms. King serves on her building’s CIP (Continuous Improvement Team) and IAT (Intervention Assistance Team) and is a mentor for first year teachers.  Amy contributed to the Elementary School Government & Citizenship Room.
